Bandai Namco will release a Tamagotchi Original next year that not only looks like an egg, but actually contains recycled eggshells. That's not all, either. The packaging for the device--featuring the programming from the 1990s--will be made with recycled paper when it comes out February 5, 2025.

The Celebration Egg variant of the Tamagotchi Original will be an Amazon exclusive and is supposed to "highlight the love for the planet," according to the item's description. The device will cost $30, with seven adults attainable from the digital pet.
